As with my recording of the band's concert in Amsterdam the evening before, no
mastering of this recording has taken place. You're listening to it exactly as
I captured it.
It's a shame the band didn't vary the set by even one song, but beggars can't
be choosers. Liam remarked just before 'I'm Outta Time' that, "Unlike America,
we don't like to change."
Liam's voice sounded strained to me and he apologised in advance of 'Morning
Glory', in case the vocals weren't good. Though strained, his voice held up
well throughout the set.
The band as a whole seemed to enjoy their second night in Amsterdam more than
the first. Perhaps that's because they hadn't had to travel and were better
rested. Who knows?
Between 'Morning Glory' and 'Ain't Got Nothin'', you'll hear a girl ask me (in
Dutch) to hold her beer, while she attempts to locate her boyfriend by sending
him an SMS message from her phone. I could have tried to edit her out, but she
unwittingly gives the recording a bit of extra character and also serves to
uniquely identify it.
Once again, thanks to the wankers who threw beer and allowed me to share
their cigarette smoke this evening. It wouldn't have been the same without
you.
