Release Notes:
This recording comes from a pre-fm cd that a radio station in the Usa used to broadcast these tracks from the Chicago show with some interview to Noel.
I've cut out the interviews between songs, I've done some cross fades in the right places, removed 2 or 3 flaws that were in the original recording.
Then i adjusted the eq (the sound was too mid-ranged), brought transients back to life, improved the stereo separation and maximized the overall sound the L3.
Release Notes
■ Ultra-high-quality soundboard recording.
■ Missing sections are complemented for the first time with a first-time AUD release, providing a complete recording.
This release captures the Chicago performance on January 17, 1998, with the highest quality stereo soundboard recording available. Previously released versions were missing two songs and had significant cuts between songs, resulting in an incomplete, single-CD-sized recording. This two-disc set completes the two missing tracks and the cut intervals with audience recordings, capturing this incredible concert in its entirety for the first time.
Experience the excitement before the show as "The Boys Are Back in Town" sprints into "Be Here Now." The previously cut psychedelic guitar intro and ending of "D'You Know What I Mean?" are also included. Also included are "It's Gettin' Better (Man!!)" and "Champagne Supernova," making their debuts. "Champagne Supernova" in particular is a highlight of the final part of the concert, featuring Noel's lengthy guitar solo. The fact that this song was cut from an Oasis concert is disappointing, like the fact that "Akai Sweet Pea" was cut from a Seiko Matsuda concert. This release is a complete recording of all the songs, with no such disappointment whatsoever.
The Chicago performance on January 17, 1998, was recorded on an ultra-high-quality soundboard. The two missing songs and the cut inter-song MCs are complemented with never-before-seen audience recordings, making this the first complete recording of a concert. Bonus tracks include interviews and other related recordings from the day. As an aside, the photo on the back cover is also from the concert itself. This is a beautiful picture disc pressing, perfect for permanent preservation.

Audio: Pre-FM > Fradoca Remaster
Great video upgrade to this great show.
Pre-FM audio by Fradoca > re-touched a little bit by me.
Unfortunately, this wonderful audio source is missing It's Getting Better (Man!) & Champagne Supernova.
VHS audio was improved as much as possible.

Supported by Cornershop. In 1999 the venue was renamed the Allstate Arena.
Noel introduces "To Be Someone" by asking the crowd: "Does anybody remember a group called The Jam? This is a a song by The Jam..."
For some reason the radio station wern't allowed to broadcast "It's Getting Better (Man!!)" and "Champagne Supernova"; on Live at the Horizon these are sourced from an
audience recording (as are all the crowd noises between tracks - it's a weird source!).
Live at the Horizon contained a bunch of bonus tracks on CD2:
Stand By Me (BBC, July 1997)
Don't Go Away - Saturday Night Live (Oct 4th, 1997)
Acquiesce - Saturday Night Live (Oct 4th, 1997)
Don't Go Away - Letterman (Oct 9th, 1997)
Stand By Me - Rockline (Jan 19th, 1998)
Don't Go Away - Tonight with Jay Leno (Jan 21, 1998)
D'You Know What I Mean - Modern Rock Live, Radio Deejay (June 15, 1997)
Setting Sun - Modern Rock Live, Radio Deejay (June 15, 1997)
Don't Go Away - Keenen Ivory Wayans (Jan 30, 1998)
Don't Go Away - Hora Prima (Feb 19, 1998)
Help - Hora Prima (Feb 19, 1998)
Be Here Now - The Point (Dec 5, 1997)
Live at the Horizon '98 (Complete Audience) is a new source that contains the whole show from an audience source. Compared to the FM broadcast, the recording has a fair amount of crowd noise and isn't exactly perfect (there are a couple of sound glitches during and at the end of "To be Someone") but it's a complete and uninterrupted recording - unlike the other sources of this show.
The soloalbum DVD seems to run a few minutes shorter than the NTSC (1st Gen) version, there is a chance that "soloalbum" cut some footage to make the release they traded inferior to their master copy. It definitely doesn't contain the full intro of the genuine NTSC 1st Gen.
Chicago 1998 The Video is a bonus DVD-R disc bundles with copies of their "Chicago 1998" bootleg and appears to be sourced from the soloalbum release.
The "fshoaps" version on YouTube is a 60fps/AI upscale of the soloalbum DVD source.
The "Alvarojam" DVD release uses a video master alongside the Fradoca audio remaster (where possible) and has the best quality video of all the sources available.
