comments

Liam might have had a drink or two before this show. :) During the solo to Supersonic he climbs up onto the Rolls Royce housing Alan White's drum kit and his moan about the "LAZY TRUCKERS" just before the start of "Roll With It" is in reference to the French truck strike which would result in the following night's date getting cancelled.

Stay Sober is just a clone of the original recording.

The audio on the DVD source is different to the CD Audio source in circulation.

fan memories

"This was a good show in a really great little venue (and I am pissed of that I did not see them at the same venue on the Heathen Chemistry tour). Loads of Brits in the audience and a great atmosphere. My main memory of this show is getting to the arena and hanging around for a while before we got in on another freebie on this tour (this was the first freebie abroad therefore we had already booked our tickets so we were in regardless). Having arranged the freebie I was told by my contact that we could go to the after show party, but it was not to be. Near the end of the show Liam announced that the rest of the French tour would be cancelled as there was a strike at the time and they could not get their equipment out of Lille in time for the following days show at Paris Bercy Omnisports. This was a blow as we had bought tout tickets the day before in Paris and now they were useless (we got face value back at the box office). What is it about France and Oasis, we booked up for Bordeaux Mediquine in October 1996 and this was cancelled on the back of the US tour that was cancelled. as the flights were already booked we had to go. Only bonus was Deep Purple were playing the night before Oasis would have played. Going back to Paris the next day there were hundreds of Brits who had come over for the show, some had done like we had and gone to Lille the night before. We ended up in a bar with some other Brits watching Strasbourg V Liverpool (I think) and getting s**tfaced.
