commentsThis interview and session was broadcast during one of Xfmn's early London RSLs - it was operating under a "Restricted Service License" and was limited to broadcasting for 30 days to a limited geographical area. The session with Noel is referred to in the documentary "Kick Out The Jams - The Story of XFM" which debuted in 2022."Wonderwall" is introduced by Mary Ann Hobbs while he is tuning his guitar ("Away you go then, boy"). You've Got To Hide Your Love Away contains a slightly longer outro where you hear the weird chord that Noel ends on, followed by the DJ laughing and asking "was that my cue for applause?" Noel uses the lyric "A better place to pray" in the first verse of "Don't Look Back in Anger". All the tracks on You've Got To Hide Your Love Away sounds like they are running too slow, however they all contain slightly longer takes with the DJ clapping and saying "ooh, yes - Noel Gallagher live on [cut]..." Due North only contains "Don't Look Back in Anger" taken from a re-broadcast version of the song - it's introduced by a male presented cold as a pre-recorded session for XFM. FillersThe Xfm Update contains the same three tracks (lifted from "Fillers") along with the interview from Getting High2 - the first two tracks seem to be from the 1st broadcast, and DLBIA from the 2nd broadcast (same version as Due North).
