The First NY Soundboard [43:44] Release Notes:
Release Notes ![]()
commentsThe October '94 Wetlands show is often incorrectly passed off as this one.A Year in the Life (Blue Moon Records) claims to contain "Supersonic" from "New York, July 1994" but it's actually an FM broadcast of the Glasgow Tramway gig. Hello New York is an incomplete tape transfer, probably because it was packaged with Avenham Park and both gigs wouldn't fit onto a standard CD at the time. First Time Out in N.Y. is a new audience source which captures the entire set, including "I Am The Walrus". You can tell it's the same show (and not from a different show) as the taper's voice (which you can hear occasionally between tracks) is the same at the end of "I Am The Warus": ...just before "Live Forever": "I'm going to move to the back - my ears are starting to ring"...and after "I Am The Warus": "Really cool version - that sounded like the Beatles covering Oasis."The 1st NY Soundboard is, as the name suggests, a complete SOUNDBOARD recording of this show. The full audience show only surfaced in 2003, and finally in 2005 the full soundboard was released. Perfect quality.
