setlistaudio sourcescomments"The Park" occupied the Weston Park side of the Students' Union building, roughly where later venue/bar spaces were created during subsequent refurbishments. The name came from its outlook towards Weston Park opposite the Union. If you stand outside the Students' Union on Western Bank / Glossop Road, facing the building, The Park would have been in the western (park-facing) part of the Union rather than in the Octagon itself. Larger gigs were held in the Octagon (Oasis would play the bigger venue in December 1994), medium gigs in the Lower Refectory (now called "The Foundry"), and smaller gigs such as this gig were staged in The Park.(Thanks to Nick at sheffieldmusicarchive.co.uk) "The Park" is now called "Studio", a smaller room at the back of Foundry. Up until around 2023 we did smaller capacity gigs in Studio, and now all of our gigs are held in our Foundry main room, which we can adjust the venue to fit around different sized gigs we do. Studio is still being used regularly for our weekly club nights where we would have our 2nd DJ while the other DJ is in the Foundry main room. (Thanks to Phill at Sheffield Student's Union)
